Ladies, have you ever needed a manual that helps to guide you into becoming "that woman" who has her "ish" together? If so, then you definitely must read this book! From the first few chapters I had to do a lot of soul searching to uncover past issues that I hadn't resolved, or even identified as an issue. In order to Unleash that fierceness you have to heal from past trauma. I had to focus on issues of losing a parent, not growing up with either biological parents and using strategies listed in the book allowed me to begin to heal and release that baggage!
Part III of the IV Part Book was my favorite section of chapters. The self love and self worth chapter, was by far the most important chapter, since I am healing and reinventing myself as I am a recent divorcee. The affirmations, "the spiritual food," and meditational ideas in the book are just what I needed coming into the Spring/Summer seasons to give me the confidence to be my BEST me! Be prepared to NOT be able to put this one down until you've completed all of the selfie checks, journal entries and conversations you need to have. You definitely need the companion workbook, a journal, pen, a clear mind and maybe a few tissues. It's time to work on you! Self-awareness is SO NECESSARY! "You were born to be FIERCE, honor yourself by honoring your calling. It is divine. It is for you! Own it! Claim it!
I must admit that I am always a bit skeptical when reading self-help books especially confidence books. I feel like I am a very confident woman. Despite that, I quickly learned there is much more that I can work on to become my fiercest self.
Unlike many other books, this book can be purchased with the companion workbook. The companion workbook which gives you the opportunity to really sort through the ideas and reflect on your own life instead of just reading the book and making a mental note to come back and reflect. There is a “Selfie Check” at the end of the chapters that gives the reader a chance to reflect on what she read and apply it to her life. In my opinion, this is a way to ensure the reader is not only learning but applying what she has learned to become her fiercest self.
Each chapter begins with a quote. I really enjoyed reading the many quotes from some kickass women like Marianne Williamson. My favorite quote in the book was by Alice Walker, “Look closely at the present you are construction it should look like the future you are dreaming.”
Taria touches all aspects of a woman’s life from childhood issues to finding your calling. While providing advice to her readers she is raw and transparent about her own life and her personal struggles. Sometimes learning by example is the best teacher and Taria uses several of her life experiences as teachable moments.
Anyone who wants to get themselves together for 2017 this is the book to read! And not only once; I will definitely be rereading this book many times. Do yourself a favor and purchase this book. You will not regret it!

I must say this book is a must have for all women. The moment I started reading the pages inside, my mind started to shift. I have always be a women who struggle with lack of confidence. But once I read "Born Fierce"for the first time I felt strong, confident, and worthy. I recommend this book to all women who are on a self discovery journey.
I follow the Arthur on social media and I was hesitant about getting this book. I thought the reviews was extra (don't judge me). I got the book and I'm pleasantly surprised the book is very thought provoking and mentally stimulates the mind but easy to read/understand. I love this book.
